This was my first visit to this little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. It's a simple place with six tables and brightly colored fish on the wall. You order at the counter and select the ingredients that you want in your burrito, nachos, quesadilla or salad. I had the burrito salad which includes anything you might put in a burrito. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. The salad was filling. My husband had the regular beef burrito, which is huge. They are generous with the ingredients. The clerks are friendly and service is quick. They have a kid's menu. On Tuesdays, they offer special pricing on tacos. The restaurant is easy off of 465. Parking can be tight in the strip mall during peak hours.

This spot is a gem! You order at the counter in a setup similar to Chipotle, but the meat for the torta is made fresh to order, and it's so worth it. The serving sizes are massive, and every bite is delicious! Despite the smaller size of the restaurant, it has a great vibe, and the employees were warm and welcoming. I'll definitely be back for more!

Beyond impressed by this hole in the wall, Mexican restaurant. It is located on a tucked away strip mall on the border of Carmel and Indianapolis and I am so glad we decided to try this place out. The restaurant is very simple, but clean. We have been greeted with great service both times we have gone. We went twice in the same week because it is just that good. The food was amazing!! They have your traditional Mexican food menu, but the ingredients are fresh and they have an AMAZING selection of salsas. This will definitely be added to one of our regular spots.

Chava's is a must try. It's pretty much just an upgraded local chain version of Chipotle in Indiana. Their burritos are amazing. And if you are really hungry their super burritos are an unbeatable value. They have good chips and salsa/queso/guac. They also have Jarritos and many Mexican hot sauces to choose from. The service is always quick and friendly and the inside always has a lot of colorful decorations and pictures. Do NOT sleep on Chava's. It's sssoooo good.

The burritos here are huge. When you order, they ask if you want the giant size or the regular size. I chose regular, but even the regular-sized burritos are huge. It makes me wonder what the giant size looks like. I'm not sure I want to know. Chava's ordering system is set up like Chipotle: You order at the counter, and then you tell them what you want from the ingredients they have available. I got one veggie burrito and two BRC burritos (bean, rice and cheese burritos). You can choose from refried beans, whole pinto beans or black beans; white rice or Mexican rice; proteins like chicken, carnitas, steak or ground beef; and then a whole slew of other toppings. The toppings are too many to list here, but some of the toppings I chose for the veggie burrito was a corn medley, cilantro, lettuce, pico de gallo, cheese and sautéed vegetables. They also have like four different salsas. Chips and other sides come separately. Our burritos were good, but the veggie burrito-eater said that next time, they might try one of the burritos with meat. I really liked my BRC burrito -- the tortilla was soft, the beans tasted great, and the rice and cheese made everything soft and mushy, like a good BRC burrito should be. I got my food to go, but there are several tables inside the restaurant, if you wanted to eat there.

Have been 3 times and love it! Portions are huge and food made with care. Everything is flavorful -- nothing bland. Chimichanga is my favorite so far! The pulled pork is so good! Never sure if I want that or the chicken... the value is great! We've changed our Mexican spot for work orders to here!

Newer spot to the area - not sure exactly when they opened. They have a handful of tables but pretty small inside. It is setup like chipotle/qdoba/moes etc - you walk up and order then they have a ton of toppings that can be added. Nothing is labeled - so i felt a but awkward - like what rice do i want hmm i guess i'll call it seasoned rice... they also have a ton of salsas but again no labels - just an idea they might want to add - otherwise i'm sure the worker has to repeat what everything is all day. We tried the pastor tacos they were pretty good and I think I would give them another try in the future
